What does "MEDICAL INTUITION PROVIDED SEPARATELY" mean?
Some practitioners use their intuition while providing an intervention, treatment, or healing service—for example, during an energy healing session or therapeutic massage.
NOMI defines Medical Intuition as an intuitive assessment that can be provided separately from a practitioner's intervention, treatment, or healing service—for example, either before or after a treatment or as a standalone assessment.

Does NOMI Certify Medical Intuitives? does NOMI Regulate the practice of medical intuition?
NOMI is not a certifying or regulatory body for the practice of Medical Intuition. NOMI is a 501c6 nonprofit member-benefit professional organization designed to support our members. See our Charter for more information.
NOMI provides value to our Professional Medical Intuitive Members through career and business-enhancing opportunities, including access to our public directory, educational materials, resources, marketing, community building, participation in outreach and surveys, and affiliate discounts.

Can a NOMI Professional medical intuitive make suggestions and recommendations as part of a medical intuitive session?
Yes. Intuitive suggestions and recommendations are recognized as part of a professional medical intuitive practice as long as they are used within the practitioner’s legally defined scope of practice and in adherence to their professional licensures and certifications.
Can a NOMI Professional medical intuitive use a pendulum, crystals, or OTHER practices, to assess the physical body and biofield?
Yes. NOMI does not make any distinctions on how a professional medical intuitive may access their intuition to "read" or "scan" the physical anatomy and biofield.
I am self-taught in medical intuition. Can I join NOMI?
NOMI does not require any specific educational background or credentials to join. Please review the NOMI Professional Member requirements to see if they fit your practice. You may also join as a NOMI Supporting Member.
I am a medical professional who uses my intuition when I work with my patients. Can I join as a Professional Member?

I would like to learn how to become a professional medical intuitive. Can NOMI help?
At this time, NOMI does not endorse individual training schools. However, we believe that educational standards are critical for the advancement of the field as well as the integration of Medical Intuition into mainstream healthcare.
NOMI accepts self-taught medical intuitives as Professional Members. For those who would like formal training, NOMI does not consider short courses or purely self-study options (such as DVDs, streaming videos, and books) to be substantial training in Medical Intuition. We encourage seeking educational opportunities that teach ethical Medical Intuition skills and offer oversight and guidance from an experienced teacher or mentor.
How DO I become a NOMI SUPPORTING MEMBER?
All individuals, health and wellness providers, and organizations are welcome to join us as NOMI Supporting Members. Gain valuable benefits and join our dynamic community while helping to shape the future for Medical Intuition in healthcare.
